Dec 8: Tobias
For their last party of the year, Say Yes has put together a killer lineup headlined by the techno live veteran who cut his teeth learning from legendary German producer Frank Farian in the 1980s. Throughout the years, Tobias has developed a sound that is his own that touches on everything from acid to ambient that have been an inspiration to the German underground. He’s joined by one of China’s most respected producers Shao, who recently linked with the world famous techno label Tresor for a release. Beijing vet Ben Huang and Rankadank’s Misloop rounds out the bill.

Dec 9: Borgore
The Tel Aviv-born producer proudly claims to have ‘ruined dubstep’ with a genre-destroying sound that he dubs gorestep. A former drummer of deathcore band Shabira, Borger’s horror-tinged sound and maniacal live show has garnered him a growing following eager to follow his path through ‘the new bass world.’ He’s collaborated with Miley Cyrus and released tracks on acclaimed labels like Dim Mak and Spinnin’.

Shanghai’s longest running drum’n’bass night throws one more big bash at The Shelter with a special appearance from the prolific d’n’b vocalist. Arkaik, Andy S, Cursed, Dave Owen, Daniel Power, Monk, Resinate, Roo, and Siesta support, while MC Jado hosts.

The folks behind the Shanghai International Beer Festival, Bevex are promising “Shanghai’s largest indoor beer festival.” Expect plenty of beer from a number of participating breweries and restaurants, as well as plenty of live performances from the city’s top DJs and bands.

Dec 10: Love Bang - Huangpu Calling
Heatwolves and DJ Caution’s popular party goes conceptual in this takeover of Reel to Reel. They’re throwing a dance party to #FreeXuDongmei - the cat who infiltrated Skrillex’s Boiler Room appearance and who is now currently in jail after smashing up a car that ran over her tail. Rhythm Works, China Social Club and Come Correct crew are joining in on the fun for an eclectic night of bass, hip hop, funk, disco, house and techno. Since co-writing David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s Grammy Award-winning smash, ‘When Love Takes Over,’ the Australian duo have turned their attention to the EDM world. The producers, singers and musicians have rocked major festivals and arenas with an energetic sound and show that led to their winning a DJ Mag Award for Best Female DJ.
